India: Hussain Day Convention Highlights Truth and Justice in Bengaluru

The 32nd annual Hussain Day Convention took place in Bengaluru, the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka, on August 18, focusing on the teachings of Imam Hussain, Peace be upon him, Times of India reported yesterday. Convened by Aga Sultan, the event gathered diverse faith leaders and senior politicians to promote truth, peace, and justice.

The convention’s theme, “An Epitome of Truth and Justice,” emphasized unity against bigotry. Speakers highlighted how Imam Hussain’s sacrifices inspire millions, including Mahatma Gandhi, who drew from Imam Hussain’s legacy to lead a non-violent resistance.

The event was held at Shia Aramgah, Hosur Road, Richmond Town, and is expected to be attended by senior political leaders, faith leaders, and preachers. Attendees praised the organizers for consistently convening the event for over three decades, making it a significant fixture in Bengaluru’s cultural calendar.
