India: Stampede following landslide kills 2, injures 7 in Himachal Pradesh

At least two people were killed and seven others injured Monday in a stampede that erupted following a landslide in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, Xinhua reported.

The stampede happened at a Hindu shrine in Mairi village of Una district, about 198 km northwest of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh.

According to police, the devotees were taking bath in the spring in close vicinity of the shrine when a landslide took place on a nearby mountain.
