India: IED blast leaves 2 cops wounded in Chhattisgarh
Two policemen were wounded on Saturday after being hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh, India, local media reported.
The IED, planted by Naxals, exploded in the Kirandul area of Dantewada district, about 397 km south of Raipur, the capital city of Chhattisgarh.
A senior police official stated that the policemen were part of a joint team conducting a search operation in the area.
In a separate incident, two Naxals were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Bijapur district.
