Al-Abbas Combat Division Commander visits Imam Hussein Media Group Headquarters
Sheikh Maitham Al-Zaidi, Commander of Al-Abbas Combat Division, visited the Headquarters Building of Imam Hussein Media Group in Holy Karbala and met with Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Mustafa Mohammadi, Secretary General of the organization.
In this visit which took place on the evening of Thursday, December 14, Sheikh Maitham Al-Zaidi, one of the commanders of Hashd al-Sha’abi and an affiliate to Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, was briefed on the latest operations of the media group and its activities in different languages.
He was also given a report on the recent activities of Misbah al-Hussein Foundation for Development and Relief and its strategic researches for establishing the Orphans Foundation by the Iraqi Government.
In their meeting, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Mustafa Mohammadi further elaborated on the Holy Karbala Vision 2030 project aimed to welcome the presence of 50 million pilgrims in Holy Karbala.
The Secretary General of the media group also spoke about legal ways to return Nakhib and al-Rahiliyyah areas to Karbala Governorate, which were separated from the lands of this governorate during the Baathist regime and were submitted to Anbar governorate for administrative reasons.
During the meeting, Sheikh Maitham Al-Zaidi emphasized the good security situation of Karbala governorate, especially in its western region, and the complete control of the forces of the Al-Abbas Combat Division under his command in the area.
