Call for Unity as Racial Discrimination Persists Globally
———————————
The head of the Permanent Forum of People of African Descent (PFPAD), in his annual report to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, emphasized that the “color line” still exists in the world and that anti-Black racism continues.
According to the official United Nations website, Martin Kimani stated that this structural discrimination limits equal opportunities and fuels violence and social division.
He urged human rights and anti-racism movements to unite now more than ever and take action to realize the UN’s commitments, including the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
