Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has described the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein as a global occasion for people to respond to Imam Hussein’s call for support and to embrace his principles.

In a statement published on his official website, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said that the continuation of Arbaeen commemorations over the years demonstrates that Imam Hussein’s path represents a model for human perfection and a way to unite people around the values of justice, freedom, love, and peace.

He emphasized that the Arbaeen gathering in the holy city of Karbala is not only a religious event but also an international opportunity to preserve and spread the values of Imam Hussein throughout the world.

His Eminence added that humanity today faces challenges caused by corruption, misinformation, and injustice, stressing that Arbaeen provides an opportunity to promote the principles of truth, dignity, and fairness inspired by Imam Hussein’s legacy.
