Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Offers Condolences on Passing of Grand Ayatollah Sistani’s Brother

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi has sent a message of condolence to Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Sistani following the passing of his brother, Ayatollah Haj Sayyid Hadi Hosseini Sistani.

In the message, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi expressed his sympathy to the family of the deceased and prayed to Almighty God to grant him mercy, forgiveness, and peace of soul.

His Eminence also prayed for the elevation of the late Ayatollah’s rank in the company of the Messenger of God and the Ahl al-Bayt of infallibility and purity (peace be upon them).

Addressing Grand Ayatollah Sistani, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi asked God to grant patience and a great divine reward to the children, family members, and all those bereaved by the loss. He also prayed for the continued health, well-being, and long life of Grand Ayatollah Sistani.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi concluded his message with the Qur’anic verse of return: “Indeed we belong to God, and indeed to Him we shall return.”

It is worth noting that Ayatollah Sayyid Hussein Shirazi, the son of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, visited the residence of the late Ayatollah Sayyid Hadi Sistani in the holy city of Qom to convey the condolences and express sympathy on behalf of his father.
