On the 6th of Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH, members of the Balkh Ulema Council visited the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in Mazar-i-Sharif to express appreciation for the activities of his offices in Afghanistan.
According to Shia Waves Persian, the Council also praised the role of the Al-Mustafa Cultural and Charitable Institute, affiliated with Ayatollah Shirazi’s office, in expanding social and cultural services across the region.
In the same period, the 62nd drinking water well in Ahmadabad, Aliabad district of Balkh province, was inaugurated through the efforts of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi’s office in cooperation with the Al-Mustafa Institute. The project was launched at the Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba Mosque and dedicated in the name of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
These initiatives highlight the connection between religious authority and social services in Afghanistan, reflecting efforts to strengthen religious values while simultaneously addressing essential community needs.
