IHC, Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation distribute thousands of food baskets across Africa

The UK-based Imam Hussein Charity (IHC), in collaboration with Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and Development, humanitarian groups affiliated to the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, has launched its annual campaign to distribute thousands of food baskets during the month of Ramadan in several African countries.

So far, the campaign has reached several African nations, including Niger, Tanzania, and Ghana, where thousands of food baskets have been distributed to families in need, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the poor during the holy month.

According to officials, the project has been running for the seventh consecutive year and has expanded this year to cover ten countries: Lebanon, Syria, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Ghana, Niger, in addition to several cities and provinces across Iraq.

This initiative is one of IHC’s most significant humanitarian efforts, aimed at supporting impoverished communities worldwide. It reflects the teachings of Islam on social solidarity and follows the recommendations of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan.
