Grand Ayatollah Shirazi Issues Statement on Occasion of Blessed 10-day Period of Mahdawiyya

The esteemed religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Hosseini al-Shirazi, congratulated the blessed days marking the birth of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) in a recent statement. His Eminence quoted the Holy Quran: “And the earth shone with the light of its Lord…”

The true illumination referred to by Allah in the Holy Quran has yet to manifest, as during that time, the earth and all living beings, including animals, will experience a form of radiance that will be evident to them.

The Infallibles (peace be upon them) are the most significant miracles of Allah. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) stated in a narration: “The inhabitants of the heavens and the earth will be pleased with him.” The preparation for the existence and appearance of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) will be such that everyone will be satisfied with him, which is also a divine miracle. Historically, people have never been entirely pleased with even the best of them, including the Holy Prophet; however, during the appearance of Imam Al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance), one of the exceptions will be that people will be content with him.

The emergence of Imam Al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his reappearance) is an undeniable reality, free from any doubt. However, due to the doubts raised by adversaries, it is essential to respond to them with various arguments and evidence. It is our duty to defend the sacred presence of Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) through strong statements, reasoning, and by employing the techniques of dialogue and debate to familiarize the misguided with the truth.
