Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stresses working towards grandeur of Holy Arba’een Pilgrimage

The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Thursday and Friday, the 18th and 19th of Muharram. In these sessions, like the previous meetings, the Supreme Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudential issues.

Referring to the statement of the Messenger of God regarding the use of all effort and strength in order to erase and destroy the effects of misguidance and disbelief, and to strive for the pride and elevation of religious foundations and everything that causes its greatness and expansion, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: My advice to all the devotees of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) is to strive as much as they can, both individually and as a group, to follow the commandments of the Messenger of God.

In relation to the need to pay attention to the establishment of the Arba’een pilgrimage as magnificently as possible, his Eminence said: One of the examples of the fulfillment of the Messenger of God’s order is the effort to make the Arba’een pilgrimage greater and more inclusive, so it is necessary for everyone to use all their strength and power towards the grandeur of this Husseini rite and ritual and contribute towards its increasing magnificence.

The Supreme Marja further considered the pilgrimage of Arba’een and its grand celebration as one of the effective ways to nullify the efforts of misleaders and propaganda agencies and said: We should take any necessary measures to make the pilgrimage of Arba’een and everything related to accessible and convenient for everyone, and the greater we strive, the more rewarded it will be.
