Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: In communicating the religion, our duty is to convey it clearly
The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Tuesday, the 21st of Shawwal. In these sessions, as in the previous meetings, the Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudential issues.
On the divine duty of humans to learn and communicate religious concepts, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: Learning the beliefs and then the obligatory Ahkam, as well as paying attention to matters that are sufficiency obligations, which may become individual obligations in the case there are not enough people fulfilling them, are among the matters that need to be prioritized over other things in human life, as much as it is possible to do.
His Eminence, in explaining the concept of conveying (Bala’q), said: The Holy Quran repeatedly uses the word Bala’q, which means “clear and explicit communication”, in terms of communicatng religious concepts to mankind. Here, the intent of God Almighty was not only conveying and communicating. Rather, it has been emphasized that the conveyance should be obvious and clear, so as to convince people.
He further said: If the people acted on what was clearly communicated to them, then the desired result would have been achieved, but if they did not act on what was clearly communicated to them, the fulfillers of the duty of Bala’q will be excused in the eye of Allah, the Almighty.
