Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Ziyarat Aminullah can be recited for all Infallibles
The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Monday and Tuesday, the 25th and 26th of Jumadi al-Thani. In these sessions, like the previous meetings, the Marja answered the various questions of the attendees about jurisprudential issues.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi discussed Ziyarat Aminullah, and said: There is a hadith from Ma’sumeen to the effect that, in addition to the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, one can recite this Ziyarat for all the Infallibles, peace be upon them.
His Eminence went on to say: Some scholars have recommended reciting Ziyarat Aminullah on visiting the shrines of Sayyida Zainab and Sayyida Masoumeh, peace be upon them, but such a point has not been mentioned in the hadith.
Regarding the permissibility of acting on the dreams of some scholars about the reward of visiting some holy shrines, the Supreme Marja said: In texts documenting the dreams of some scholars, it is mentioned that since it is not possible to visit Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, in Ziyarah because the location of her grave is not known, therefore, a person can visit the shrine of Fatima al-Masoumeh, peace be upon her, [in trying to achieve the Sawab and Barakat]. Based on the rule of “expansion in Mustahabbat”, it is alright to follow such recommendations.
