Kazakh judoka Yeldos Smetov won gold in the men’s 60kg judo final, defeating French competitor Luka Mkheidze.

In shooting, Kazakhstan’s Islam Satpayev and Alexandra Le secured bronze in the 10-meter mixed team air rifle event, marking the country’s first Olympic medal in shooting since 1996. Meanwhile, Tunisia’s Fares Ferjani earned a silver medal in the men’s individual sabre final, narrowly missing gold against South Korea’s Oh Sanguk.

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially branded as Paris 2024, runs from July 24 to August 11, 2024, with the opening ceremony held on July 26.
