Intl Non-Violence Organization calls for humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza during Holy Ramadan
The International Nonviolence Organization (Freemuslim) has called for a humanitarian ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan and for securing food and medicine for the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The organization sent a strong message to leaders and rulers of Arab and Islamic countries to take action and pressure for the cessation of war or the establishment of a humanitarian ceasefire to show mercy to the weak and help the innocent.
The organization said a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, “Muslims are observing this blessed month of Ramadan amidst a fierce war in the Gaza Strip, resulting in a major humanitarian catastrophe that shocks humanity, with the international community’s failure to stop this painful war.”
The organization emphasized that “more than two million Muslim civilians in the Gaza Strip are suffering hunger, fear, and deprivation of basic human rights and displacement.”
Freemuslim stressed the importance of urgent action to secure and supply the residents of the strip with food and medicine and provide means of livelihood and survival, especially after months of blockade, bombing, and destruction.
