Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announces readiness to hold 3rd Kawthar Al-Isma Cultural Festival
The Secretariat-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced the completion of all preparations to launch the 3rd Kawthar Al-Isma Cultural Festival, in conjunction with the birth of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with the participation of 100 figures from 30 Arab, Islamic, and foreign countries.
In a statement to Shia Waves Agency, Ali Kazem Sultan, head of the festival’s preparatory committee, said that “the festival will see several events, including the holding of cultural evenings, research sessions, a poetry competition for young poets, and exhibitions of art, Arabic calligraphy, and design.”
For his part, Abdul Amir Qurashi, a member of the festival’s preparatory committee, pointed out that “the participations for writing this year were limited to book writing,” noting that “the preparatory committee received 55 books in various languages, namely Arabic, English, Urdu, and Persian.”
Qurashi added that “this intellectual production has undergone scientific evaluation by professors and specialists in this field, especially since the preparatory committee stipulated that the writing should meet the requirements of the current time.”
