Holy Karbala prepares to hold Third International “Kawthar Al-Ismah” Festival

The holy city of Karbala is preparing to host the third international “Kawthar Al-Ismah” festival, which is being held in honor of Sayyeda Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her.

Ali Kazem Sultan, head of the Festivals and Celebrations Department at Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, said in a press statement followed by the Shia Waves Agency: “The International Festival of Kawthar Al-Ismah is being held for the third consecutive year on the occasion of the blessed birth of Sayyeda Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her.”

He added that “the festival will be held on January 2, 2024,” explaining that “there are participations from more than (30) countries, and more than (100) figures from the world countries in various specializations.”

He pointed out that “the festival includes an art exhibition displaying Arabic calligraphy, plastic art, design, a specialized library for what has been written about Sayyeda Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her, as well as Quranic and poetry evenings.”
