Road accident claims lives of Arbaeen pilgrims in Salah al-Din province of Iraq
About 30 Arbaeen pilgrims, most of whom were Iranians, were killed and injured in a road accident in Saladin Governorate of Iraq.
General Health Department of Saladin Governorate announced that 16 pilgrims were killed and 13 others were injured in a road accident on Ad Dujayl to Samara Road.
“Hospitals in the region have received the injured from this accident, and medical staff are performing all necessary treatment and surgery for their well-being,” said Khalid Burhan, Saladin’s Director General of Health, adding that death certificates have been issued for the deceased.
