Istanbul-based Imam Hussein Center launches Second Imam Hussein Annual Conference

The Istanbul-based Imam Hussein Center, affiliated to the Media Department of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, has announced the beginning of the activities of its second annual conference titled “The Islamic Unity in the Love of Imam Hussein”, in cooperation with Ahlulbayt Foundation.

Coinciding with the Arabeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, the conference was held at the Bagcilar Municipality Hall in Istanbul, as large numbers of the followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, attended.

The representative of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, said in a press statement followed by Shia Waves Agency that “The conference is being held for the second year in a row in order to convey the message of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and to highlight his personality and honorable biography.”

He continued that “The Master of Martyrs and Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, represent the Islamic unity and they have special status and love in the hearts of all Muslims, and thus the Imam is a source for strength, brotherhood, and love all over the world.”

Al-Qaraawi pointed out that “Various religious and cultural activities were organized during the conference. And the banner of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, was put for the Shia devotees to write Ya Hussein as a signature of their love to their Imam.”
