Ukrainian media cite battle of Karbala as incentive for victory

The Ukrainian “ctoпkop” media organization cited the eternal battle of Karbala, and the martyrdom of the Holy Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussein, peace be upon them, as a vivid example of courage and valor in the face of injustice and tyranny.

The organization said in its editorial, translated by Shia Waves Agency, that, “Despite the long-time of the tragic martyrdom of Imam Hussein bin Ali, peace be upon them, and his loyal companions in a fierce battle that took place in 61 AH, 680 AD on the land of Karbala in Iraq, he left immense pain in the heart of every Muslim to this day.”

The report stressed that ” The hostility and grudge against the Prophet’s descendants, has only led to the glorification of that battle occurred on the banks of the Euphrates; when the huge army of Yazid ibn Muawiyah faced Imam Hussein’s 73-loyalist army, who bravely defended the cause of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
