Iraqi Border Crossings Authority confirms over 92 thousand people entered country in 3 days
Iraq’s Border Crossings Authority revealed on Sunday that more than 92 thousand foreign visitors entered the country over a period of three days, indicating that they entered through 12 crossings.
The head of the authority, Omar Al-waeli, said in a press statement followed by Shia Waves Agency “The government has provided massive support to remove the obstacles the authority is facing, and we have coordinated with other provinces to receive as many people as possible coming by land and air.”
Al-Waeli added that, “The Authority has also coordinated with the security and intelligence departments to expedite visa and papers examination due to rising temperatures,” confirming that, “the number of pilgrims, who entered the country since last Thursday until Saturday evening, reached 92615 from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Iran.”
