Holy Karbala Government calls on central government to allocate funds to restore Arba’een roads
The First Deputy Governor of Holy Karbala, Jassim al-Fatlawi, called on the central government in Baghdad to allocate funds to reconstruct the roads for the honorable pilgrims who come on-foot for the Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
Al-Fatlawi said in a press statement, followed by Shia Waves Agency, that he had “made special requests to the central government through the delegation of the Secretariat-General of the Council of Ministers, who visited the city last weekend, and called for an increase in financial allocations.”
He explained that “these allocations are necessary to reconstruct and prepare the roads for the honorable pilgrims ahead of the massive Arba’een Pilgrimage.”
Al-Fatlawi noted that “The Arba’een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, will be in summer for the coming ten years, which means that more services are needed to be made available to ensure the safe arrival of pilgrims to the holy shrines.”
