“Who is Hossain?” charity carries out various humanitarian, cultural activities on Ashura

The UK-based “Who is Hossain?” charity has conducted various humanitarian, cultural and philanthropic activities in different countries to commemorate Ashura, Imam Hussein’s, peace be upon him, Martyrdom.

The organization said in a statement viewd by Shia Waves Agency that, “Ashura is the best occasion to introduce to the whole world the lofty principles and values for which Imam Hussein, peace be upon him stood and sacrificed.”

The statement added that “On Ashura, Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, presented most wonderful examples of resistance and defiance in the face of tyranny and injustice, as well as the sacrifice for the happiness of humanity, reform.”

The charity explained that its “teams around the world carried out different activities in honor of the memory of Ashura, such as distributing thousands of water bottles, paying hospital fees for sick people, distributing food and clothes to homeless people.”
