Health Department in Holy Karbala launches its emergency plan for Arafah Day, Eid al’Adha

The Holy Karbala Health Department has revealed its emergency plan for the coming Arafah Day and Eid al-Adha, with thousands of pilgrims have already been arriving in the holy city.

The assistant director of the department, Dr. Majid Abdul Azim Al-Mayali, said in statements received by Shia Waves Agency that, “The department has developed a special emergency plan for the day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha to provide medical and health services to thousands of visitors to the holy city.”

Al-Mayali added that, “The plan includes 90 ambulances, equipped with medicines and necessary supplies, to be distributed near mosques, cemeteries, intersections and other key places.”

He explained that, “Preventive measures are part of the emergency plan to prevent infectious diseases”, calling on all, “citizens and foreign pilgrims to abide by the rules put by the Department of Health of Holy Karbala.”
