Syria: Zainabiyah Hawza dispatches relief aid to earthquake-affected families
The Shelter Center in Baalbeh – Syria, expressed on behalf of all the people affected by the earthquake in the Syrian cities of Kafriya and Al-Foua, its thanks and appreciation for the aid campaign provided by the Zainabiyah Hawza (Seminary) affiliated to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.
The Deanship of the Hawza, in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, said that it “dispatched urgent food aid to the residents of the shelter center in Baalbeh, Syria, after their homes were damaged by the devastating earthquake that struck the country.”
The statement added, “The Public Relations representative of the Zainabiyya Seminary visited the shelter center in Baalbeh and was briefed on the tragic and critical conditions of the earthquake-stricken people.”
It added, “After reviewing the conditions of the afflicted and receiving a report on their conditions, the public relations representative of the Zainabiyah Seminary, in cooperation with the office of His Eminence, in the city of Damascus, sent subsidies to the shelter center, consisting of foodstuffs, clothing, sanitary essentials, and other supplies.”
These humanitarian activities are based on the directives of the honorable religious authority, who repeatedly emphasizes the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need.
