Revival of Ashura and persecution of Shias among most prominent events documented by photographers in 2022

Pantagraph, the American Illustrated News Service, published four photographs on some of the prominent Shia events that took place in 2022, which were divided between the revival of Ashura ceremonies and the suffering, oppression and killing of Shia minorities.

The four photographs of the Shia events, documented by Shia Waves News Agency, were among more than 50 global events, most of which were characterized by sadness and tragedy, due to the wars, conflicts and natural disasters that the year witnessed. The photos were from the Hazara minority, Kashmir and some Husseini rituals such as Tatbir.
