Large Crowds Attend Fatimid Mourning Ceremonies in Samarra and Karbala

Thousands of followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) participated in mourning ceremonies across the holy cities of Samarra and Karbala to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), according to the first narration of her martyrdom, which places the event forty days after the passing of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
In Samarra, a symbolic funeral procession for Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) was held with the participation of large numbers of mourners from different parts of Iraq and abroad. The procession began near the holy shrine of Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them) and continued toward the shrine and house attributed to Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), amid an atmosphere of grief and remembrance.
Participants carried a symbolic coffin and held mourning ceremonies recalling the life, virtues, and suffering of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). Pilgrims gathered at the holy shrines to offer condolences and take part in religious rituals marking the beginning of the first Fatimid Days.
In Karbala, the people of Najaf organized Fatimid mourning ceremonies at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), attended by pilgrims and devotees of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). The program included elegies, poetry recitations, and religious speeches highlighting the status and legacy of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
The ceremonies in Iraq are part of wider commemorations held by Shia communities around the world during the Fatimid Days, featuring mourning gatherings, processions, and religious events dedicated to remembering Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and reflecting on her teachings and virtues.
On this occasion, Shia News Agency extended condolences to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), and the followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
