Global Celebrations Mark Birth Anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra
—————————————-
Muslim communities across several countries held large public and community-based celebrations to mark the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), the daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family), highlighting her religious significance and enduring influence across Shiite communities worldwide.
In Istanbul, thousands gathered at the Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Cultural Center in the Halkalı district for a major ceremony organized by the Mother of Lady Fatima Aid and Solidarity Association. The event was attended by prominent religious and public figures, including Sheikh Salahuddin Ozgunduz, a leading Shiite figure in Turkey, and Leman Yenigün, Turkey’s deputy minister for family and social services. Religious speeches, poetry recitations, children’s performances, and devotional chants formed the core of the programme.
Similar celebrations were held at institutions affiliated with the office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Shirazi in multiple countries. In Beirut, Melbourne, Damascus, Denmark, Madagascar, and Montreal, gatherings featured Quran recitation, scholarly lectures, poetry, and religious chants. Women’s seminaries and community centers also hosted cultural activities, competitions, and educational programmes.
Organizers said the events reflected continued efforts to promote the moral teachings and legacy of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and to strengthen religious and cultural identity within Shiite communities worldwide.
Speakers emphasized the endless virtues of the Lady of Paradise and noted her immense spiritual legacy for the world today.
