Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi mourns martyrdom of Prophet’s uncle and death of Abdul Azim al-Hasani

The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the holy city of Qom extended heartfelt condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib and the death of the renowned scholar Sayyid Abdul Azim al-Hasani.

These two solemn occasions fall on the 15th of Shawwal and are marked by special mourning ceremonies. In a statement, the office expressed condolences to Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honourable reappearance) and called for honoring the legacy of Prophet Muhammad’s uncle, Hamza, and Imam Hasan’s descendant, Sayyid Abdul Azim.

The statement conveyed the Grand Ayatollah’s deep sorrow and urged followers of Ahlulbayt to commemorate their sacrifices. The Shirazi residence will hold mourning gatherings attended by the Marja’, prominent scholars, and students of the seminary to honor their memory and contributions to Islam.
