Australia: Shia Muslims hold mourning ceremonies in commemoration of Holy Prophet’s martyrdom
The Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Australian cities, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne, held mourning gatherings to commemorate the sorrowful anniversary of the martyrdom of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, attended by a large number of believers from the local Shia community.
In Sydney, the Mohammadi Center hosted a mourning ceremony that was attended by a significant number of Shia Muslims. The ceremony included a religious lecture which highlighted aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet, focusing on the sacrifices he made to spread the message of Islam and shedding light on his honourable biography.
In Melbourne, the Hussainiya Association of the Afghan Shia community organized a mourning ceremony for this solemn occasion. The event saw a remarkable turnout of believers, featuring various religious activities that expressed the grief and love of the Shias for the Holy Prophet, amid an atmosphere of sorrow and devotion to the Ahlulbayt.
