Millions of Shia mourners walk towards Holy Najaf to commemorate Holy Prophet’s martyrdom
Millions Shia Muslims are making their way on foot to the holy city of Najaf to commemorate the painful martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet at the shrine of his cousin, Imam Ali, peace be upon them.
According to Shia Waves correspondent, the roads leading to the shrine are filled with pilgrims from various Iraqi provinces and othercountries, particularly from Iran and Afghanistan, who are also in Iraq for the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
Men, women, and children are undertaking long journeys to express their devotion to Imam Ali, a demonstration of their deep spiritual connection and love for the Prophet of Mercy and Humanity.
During this period, Holy Najaf becomes a focal point for millions of mourners who engage in processions and rituals of remembrance, solidifying the city’s significance in commemorating this profound occasion.
