Australia: Shia Muslims organize mourning gathering in commemoration of Holy Arbaeen
Shia Muslims in the Australian capital, Canberra, held an Arbaeen mourning gathering at the Imam Hassan Center, coinciding with the massive Arbaeen pilgrimage in the holy city of Karbala.
A large number of believers participated in the gathering, which featured various activities recalling the great sacrifices made by Imam Hussein, his family, and companions, peace be upon them, during the Battle of Karbala.
Lectures were delivered highlighting the oppression and injustice the Imam and his family endured, emphasizing the principles and values of truth and justice they fought for.
Fresh meals were also distributed to participants, and the event concluded with the recitation of Hussaini poems, expressing sorrow and reflection on the meanings of sacrifice and martyrdom.
These activities are part of the commemoration of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him), which is observed worldwide, reaffirming the spiritual bond that connects followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, around the world.
