Iranian officials predict participation of more than 5M Iranians in this year’s Holy

Iranian official and religious entities predict that 5 million Iranian pilgrims will travel to Iraq this year to participate in the commemoration of the Holy Arba’een.

Meanwhile, 36 service Mawakib comprising 3,500 people from Iran’s Mazandaran province are preparing to station in Iraq and provide services during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

In a related context, the Iranian Islamic Association announced on Friday its readiness to participate in the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, voluntarily, contributing to maintaining the cleanliness of the holy city and providing services to pilgrims.

The association’s officials explained that their activities will not be limited to waste collection but will also include planting and greening the “Ya Hussein” road, which extends from Karbala to Najaf, in an attempt to improve local environment.

Holy Arbaeen is one of the largest religious events in the world, attracting millions of people to Holy Karbala; therefore, voluntary initiatives like these enhance the value of collective work and solidarity among Muslims in serving the community and preserving sacred places.
