Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasizes significant role of media in spreading Ashura worldwide

The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Religious Authority Ayatollah Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has called for the strategic use of modern media to disseminate the culture of Holy Ashura globally.

Speaking to religious preachers on the eve of Holy Muharram, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi emphasized the crucial role of contemporary technology in conveying the message of Ashura in various languages to a worldwide audience.

“We must make the best use of today’s accessible technologies to share the culture of Ashura with all of humanity,” said Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, adding that “modern media offers a golden opportunity to spread the values and principles of Ashura and to enhance awareness about this pivotal historical event.”

His Eminence remarked that media is not just a tool for conveying news and information but a powerful means of shaping public opinion and influencing society. Thus, he urged for its strategic and thoughtful use to communicate the values and principles of Ashura to the world.
