India: Shias send letter to PM Modi to ensure better Muharram procession arrangements
The All India Shia Personal Law Board has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged him to ensure better arrangements for the upcoming Muharram procession, Indian ‘Awaza The Voice’ news agency reported.
The report added that in their letter to PM, the Shia Board also talked about the problems faced by the Shia community during the Muharram processions.
The board urged the Prime Minister to ensure security arrangements on the routes determined by the state governments so that untruly elements cannot disturb the law and order.
It should be mentioned that Shia Muslims around the world are preparing to receive the months of Muharram and Safar to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussein and the tragedies of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
