UK-based Imam Al-Hassan Association holds Annual Al-Ghadir Conference
The UK-based Imam Al-Hassan Association has held its 3rd annual conference on the blessed occasion of al-Ghadir, the anniversary when the Holy Prophet appointed Imam Ali, peace be upon them, as his successor and caliph.
The association, based in the city of Hull, launched its conference on Thursday 27 June, hosting a group of distinguished scholars, professionals, intellectuals and general believers.
Among the keynote speakers were Professor Sayyed Hammad Naqvi, Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Ansari, Dr Baha Al-Wakeel, Sayyed Abdull Munaam Al-Hassan, Sayyed Watheq Al-Yaquobi and Saeed Bilal who chaired the conference.
The speakers emphasized the importance of renewing the pledge of allegiance to the Imam of the Time, may Allah Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance, and the moral duty of the responsible believer regarding the Allegiance of Al-Ghadir.
