Grand Ayatollah Shirazi says celebrating Eid al-Ghadir is a revival of justice and good values
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, emphasized that celebrating Eid al-Ghadir is a revival of the values of justice and good governance in managing people’s lives, stressing the importance of eliminating oppression, inequality, and injustice from society.
In his speech on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi explained that Eid al-Ghadir, the anniversary of the appointment of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, as the Imam and Caliph of the Muslims, is not just a historical event but a moment to renew allegiance to justice and the high human values advocated by Islam.
The Infallible Imams of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, emphasized the greatness of this day and the necessity of adhering to its principles, the Grand Marja said, adding that our understanding of this occasion should go beyond superficial celebrations to serious efforts in achieving principles of justice and equality in our societies.
The Supreme Religious Authority called on believers to draw lessons from al-Ghadir event in their daily lives, asserting that commitment to the principles of this significant occasion can significantly contribute to confronting injustice and discrimination.
