Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi stresses importance of adhering to covenant and pledge of al-Ghadir
During receiving a group of believers on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi, emphasized the importance of believers adhering to the covenant and pledge of al-Ghadir.
According to a statement from his office, Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi stressed the importance of embodying the traits of true believers who represent the qualities of Shia Islam, which include being mindful of one’s words and actions.
His Eminence offered the visitors fatherly instructions and advice, emphasizing the importance of drawing lessons from the visit to the holy shrines and working on self-change, pointing out that a believer should love for his brother what he loves for himself and should hold himself accountable daily, pledging to God not to return to sins.
Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi stressed the importance of commemorating the Day of al-Ghadir and renewing the pledge of allegiance to Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in accordance with the Command of Allah and His Messenger, peace be upon him and his family.
