IH Media Group dedicates last 7 days of Dhu al-Hijjah to celebrating Imam al-Kadhim’s blessed birth
Imam Hussein Media Group has designated the days from the 20th to the 26th of Dhu al-Hijjah as “The Seven Kazimi Days” in honor of the blessed birth of Imam Musa ibn Ja’far, peace be upon him.
According to history texts, the exact date of Imam Kazim’s birth is not specified, but Shia scholars and jurists have historically declared the days of Imam Kazim’s birth to be in the last ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah.
Imam Musa ibn Ja’far, peace be upon him, was born in the last ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah in the year 128 AH in a place between Mecca and Medina called “Abwa.”
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, referring to a narration by Imam Hasan al-Askari, peace be upon him, confirms the birth of the seventh Imam of Muslims in Dhu al-Hijjah, emphasizing that the place of birth is further evidence of his birth in Dhu al-Hijjah.
The Imam was known among his followers for spending the night in worship, and for his patience and tolerance towards his enemies, earning him the title “Al-Kazim” meaning the one who restrains anger.
The hounorable residence of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Holy Qom as well as the houses of Shia Muslims around the world celebrate this blessed occasion of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in an atmosphere of happiness and joy.
