Shirazi-affilaited centres celebrate blessed occasion of Eid al-Ghadir

Many religious, cultural, and charitable centres affiliated with the offices of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Iraq and around the world have organized a series of humanitarian and ceremonial activities to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir.

Shirazi-affilaited charities, centres and organizations in Iraqi provinces as well as in Afghanistan, the United States, Australia, Madagascar, and other countries, organized celebratory ceremonies to observe this great event.

According to the official website of the Grand Marja, “these activities are based on the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, who emphasized the importance of highlighting the greatness of Eid al-Ghadir, the occasion of Imam Ali’s appointment as the successor to the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family”.

The Secretariat-General of Imam Ali Holy Shrine announced today that more than four million pilgrims visited the holy shrine on Eid-ul-Ghadir to repledge their allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.
