Holy Najaf prepares to launch first International al-Ghadeer Conference
The Alawi Institute for Islamic Research and Studies in Holy Najaf announced its readiness to hold the first International Ghadeer Conference, in conjunction with the celebration of Eid al-Ghadeer, the greatest Eid of God.
The conference, which will witness significant international participation, is being held as part of the celebrations of this auspicious Alawi occasion, which falls on the 18th of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
Sayyid Nabaa Al-Hamami, the head of the Alawi Institute, explained in his statement, that “the scientific committee for the International Ghadeer Conference held its first meeting in preparation for the specialized committee meetings to organize the conference.”
He further mentioned that “the scientific committee has received so far (30 abstracts) for a series of research papers submitted by a group of researchers from inside and outside Iraq to participate in the research session of the conference.”
Al-Hamami stressed that “the conference aims to establish the rightfulness of the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, on the day of al-Ghadeer al-Aghar, and the concept of Ghadeer in enhancing Muslim unity, and urging to draw inspiration from this auspicious occasion in educational, academic, and literary curricula and activities.”
