Vatican Advisor: Imam Ali bin Abi Talib is the Imam of humanity and justice
Father Sunmar Ganem Telkeif, advisor and ambassador of the Vatican to the Arab Mashriq—countries on the eastern part of the Arab world—visited the holy shrine of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf, where he was received by a team from the Public Relations Department of the Holy Shrine.
During the visit, Father Telkeif expressed his deep pride and honor at standing in this sacred place, stating that visiting the shrine of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib peace be upon him, is a great honor for him.
He affirmed that Imam Ali, peace be upon him, is the Imam of humanity and justice, and that he respects and appreciates his dedication and will in serving all of humanity.
Father Telkeif explained that he was born in Mosul, Iraq, and currently resides in Rome, where he serves as an advisor to the Vatican for the countries of the Arab East.
He emphasized the importance of dialogue and understanding between religions and cultures, stressing that his visit to the shrine of Imam Ali reflects a message of peace and rapprochement between peoples and religions.
