Residents, visitors of Holy Karbala celebrate blessed birth anniversary of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba

Residents of the holy city of Karbala and its visitors celebrated the auspicious occasion of the second Infallible Imam, Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, on the 15th of blessed Ramadan, inside the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them.

According to Shia Waves correspondent, large numbers of people from Holy Karbala and visitors to the city celebrated this auspicious occasion amid an atmosphere of joy and happiness.

The Shia celebrants told Shia Waves Agency: “We celebrate this event to repledge our commitment to the immaculate Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, and to honor the memory of his blessed birth.”

They also confirmed”the eldest son of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, endured extreme pain, tribulations and false accusations from his blessed birth until his martyrdom,” adding “the destruction of his holy grave is clear evidence of the oppression and injustice the Imam was subjected to.”

In conclusion of their speech, the participants demanded the rebuilding of “the graves of the Imams in Baqi, peace be upon them, in general, and specifically the grave of our Master Imam al-Hasan peace be upon him”.
