Shia communities worldwide emphasize importance of blessed Ramadan in introducing Islam

Shia communities in Europe and the Americas have emphasized that the month of Ramadan is an opportunity to show the bright and great image of the authentic Shia sect, and the noble values and ethics of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, interviewed by Shia Waves Agency, confirmed that: “At a time when there is an increase in acts of aggression, discrimination, and hatred directed towards Muslims due to extremist ideas and radical groups falsely claiming to belong to the true Islam, it has become necessary to intensify efforts to show the authentic Muhammadan Islam.”

They further stated that “the greatest manifestations of mercy, humanity, and perfection are embodied in the school of thought of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, as they represent the true connection to the Islamic message and the Prophet of Mercy, peace be upon him and his family).”

They added that: “Disseminating the true Islam can change the stereotypical image created by the West about this global religion and its followers,” pointing out that “the great efforts made by Shia centers and institutions, as well as Hussainiyyas, in organizing intellectual seminars and humanitarian programs during the days of the blessed month, will introduce others to the greatness of the Shia sect and its followers.”

The believers highlighted the phenomenon of Islamophobia and the growing hostility towards Muslims, stressing that “such a phenomenon can be completely eliminated through dialogue with others, presenting true Islamic ideas and perspectives.”

They added that “the Infallible Imams of Guidance, peace and blessings be upon them, advised their Shia followers to accept others and engage with them intellectually, culturally, and humanely, and to interact with them in a good and ethical manner, which is actually the key to entering the hearts of human beings and introducing them to the greatness of Islam.”
