US-based Hussaini Islamic Centre celebrates its 30th anniversary
Members of the Hussaini Islamic Center in Glenview Heights, America, are celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of their center, which has become a model for conducting educational and outreach activities and commemorating the sacred Hussaini rituals.
According to the officias at the centre, the establishment of this center can be attributed to “great efforts made by a group of Shia scholars and Shia communities from Pakistan, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, to create a destination for believers and a centre for organizing their events.”
The centre has aimed since its inception to serve the Shia Twelver community in the city, providing education and religious programs to the community in accordance with the teachings of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
Over the past years, the centre has improved its activities and successful programs, encouraging everyone to make the centre a place where they can commemorate the rituals, prayers, and occasions of Ahlulbyet, peace be upon them.
Among the important services successfully established by the center are the Hussaini Primary School, and the Wadi Al-Salam Cemetery modeled after the famous cemetery in Holy Najaf, in addition to charitable and humanitarian services.
