AIMIM chief expresses concern over animosity towards mosques in India
All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief, Asaduddin Owaisi, expressing concern over the religious landscape in India has said that Muslims’ places of worship are under constant threat, Kashmir Media Service reported.
Addressing a rally in New Delhi, Asaduddin Owaisi said that Muslims have lost Babri Masjid in Ayodhya where they worshipped for 500 years.
Owaisi’s remarks came at a time when the Hindutva forces and the authorities are planning to demolish South Delhi’s Sunehri Masjid.
The AIMIM president raised questions about the bias against Muslims, wondering why the BJP and the Narendra Modi-led government harbor so much animosity towards mosques and the sounds emanating from them.
