Grand Ayatollah Shirazi extends thanks, appreciation to Iraqis for their selfless services during Arbaeen
The Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has extended his thanks and appreciation to the people of Iraq for their selflessness, sacrifices and services during the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
In his word on the end of the holy Ziyarah, followed by Shia Waves, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said that “The Iraq people deserve to be highly appreciated. We all know that most of them experience difficult living conditions, yet they spend money and time to host the honorable pilgrims of the Holy Arba’een.”
His Eminence continued “These people have given sacrifices for the Arba’een Pilgrimage on various levels to serve the honorable pilgrims for days during this massive pilgrimage.”
He emphasized that “Iraq deserves the best”, noting that “Iraq has all elements of success, so why is it in this state we see today.”
He stressed that “Everyone should endeavor to reform and rebuild this country to be an example in history and the world as it was at the time of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.”
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi also extended his thanks and appreciation to all those who participated in this holy Ziyarah and offered their condolences to Imam Al-Mahdi, may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance.”
