The people of the holy city of Karbala revived their usual Ashura tradition last night, on the eve of Muharram 11, as they sat and mourned the night that left Zainab, peace be upon her, lonely after the martyrdom of her brother and companions.

The mourners lit candles near the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas, peace be upon them, as well as in front of their houses and shops, while their eyes were filled with tears.
Elegies and poems were recited in honor of the immortal tragedy.
