India: Residents of Bangalore raise banner of Imam Hussein to mark Holy Arba’een

In commemoration of the Arabeen Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), which is marked on the 20th of the holy month of Safar, the followers of AhlulBayet (peace be upon them) in the Indian city of Bangalore have raised the banner of Imam Hussein in the city.

The residents of Bangalore said that they raise the banner of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, every year on top of mosques, husseiniyas and houses.

Last Sunday, the banner of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was raised during the 31st Hussein Day, which was attended by people from different faiths and denominations.

It should be noted that Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka state, is home to many mosques and husseiniyahs of the followers of AhlulBayet (peace be upon them); some of them date back to more than two hundred years.
