Shiite Delegation’s Visit to Christian Bishop of St. Patrick’s Church
A delegation from the Shiite Muslim community paid a visit to the Christian Bishop of St. Patrick’s Church in Karachi.
The meeting between the Shiite delegation and the Christian Bishop underscored a shared commitment to interfaith harmony and the building of bridges between different faith traditions.
Leaders from both communities emphasized the need to transcend religious boundaries and engage in meaningful conversations that promote understanding and cooperation.
The delegation included different Ulema from all over Pakistan and they condemned the tragedy in Jaranwala.
Allama Sadiq Taqvi said that this cruel attitude towards minorities should stop, because Pakistan belongs to other religions just as much as it belongs to Muslims, the Christian community is also very close to our hearts because historically Christian figures have great services to Islam.
Both communities expressed their dedication to upholding the fundamental right of individuals to practice their faith without fear of discrimination or persecution.
